Jerry Gidel, president of
Midland Research, Inc. joined NARMS in April 2003 as an
associate specializing in the cash and futures grain
markets. Gidel, with more than 20 years experience
in commodity analysis and brokerage, will focus on
providing risk management service to livestock and grain
producers as well as commercial operations. |

Gidel formed Midland Research in 1981 as a consulting firm
working from the grain trading floor at the Chicago Board of
Trade. He has vast experience as a grain market research
analyst with several leading commodity brokerage firms,
including PaineWebber, G. H. Miller, LIT, and Dean Witter
Reynolds where he was a vice-president and senior grain analyst.

Gidel enjoys working with livestock and grain entities to help
them make wise marketing decisions and improve their
profitability. His philosophy is, "No matter how
high or low prices may be, risk is always present and must be
dealt with head-on". |
